The following major museums could entertain you for at least a couple of days, if you wanted to spend the time. They are located about 20 miles north of Fort Wayne in Auburn.
Kruse Automotive and Carriage Museum
National Military History Center - Home to the WWII Victory Museum *How to get there
Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum Photos of Cars at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum
Chain O’Lakes State Park - (near Albion, Indiana) about an hour’s drive from Fort Wayne - Great family recreation area with 8 connected lakes - boat and canoe rentals, cabins, swimming and beach, etc. - Check out this website for details.

An anonymous person said Chain O’Lakes State Park was a “retirement heaven.” She loved it so much she and her husband in New Mexico were selling their house and moving to Albion, Indiana. I was surprised by that, but I’d have to agree, it’s a beautiful area.

See more Chain o'Lakes State Park photos posted by IYAK - Indiana Kayakers on their Meetup group website. This group has a lot of photos posted from their kayak outings on different rivers. It looks like a fun group to belong to.
